Manuscript postmark (FPHS type III) with matching "10" rate on 1848 folded letter to Mobile Ala., red "Adv 2" advertisment rate handstamp; archival tape reinforced edge wear at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, only two recorded examples of this type postmark outside institutional holdings, extremely unusual with the Mobile "Adv 2" handstamp. Estimate $300 - 400.
