Varied selection of approximately 140 covers with many unusual and attractive cancels and scarce towns; includes a nice selection of Marblehead, Andover, Newburyport (including several ship covers), some of the highlights include 1793 Salem manuscript, 1831 red Lynn, Essex Co. cds, 1807 Newburyport 1st Federal cds & italic "Ship" 12 from Brazil, 1802 Newburyport 1st Federal cds & manuscript "Sh 62", 1848 Nahant blue three-line postmark, 1829 Ipswich straight line, 1825 Sandy Bay red rimless cds (tone spots), Beverly with 1799 manuscript & "Sh 10" rate and 1815 red rimless cds war rate, 1850's Tapleyville red cds & "10" rate, 1844 E.
