We have the "liberty of the yard" but not allowed to touch any thing or any body, we being supposed to be infected with the plague. If you wish to send a letter to anyone in the city, it is taken from us in a pair of tongs, opened & smoked over a pan of Brimstone. This will be treated in that way.Our time is fifteen days only, the Brazils being considered the most healthy climate in the world. We have here Greeks, Turks, Jews & Gentiles & all nations some are put in for forty days., Very Fine, a great usage and fascinating contents.
