Ashfield, MSS. Rimless serifed circular townmark with negative "MSS." in collar band on three folded letters; in black with manuscript "18¾" rate to Burlington, Vt. (some edge splitting), 1850 usage in red with "5" rate handstamp, to Hadley, Mass., and in green on folded letter to West Springfield, Mass., Very Fine and choice, a wonderful color trio of the Ashfield fancy townmark.
