Cds with matching straight line "Ship" in scroll handstamp on 1813 folded letter to Providence, R.I., manuscript "52" rate (50¢ double rate postage + 2¢ ship fee), letter datelined from Havana, Cuba regarding the sales of captured ships…I ascertained that the case of the Ship George & Mary had not only been neglected by the court as regarded their duty for the security and remittance of the Property of England, but it was given up by the Captors and sold by order of court by the marshall, Very Fine.
