Bold full strike of two-line date stamp (type III) on folded letter to Glouster, Mass., manuscript "25" rate, Extremely Fine and choice, a stunning example of this rare postmark which is the listing example in the ASCC, most with file fold through postmark, ex Meroni. Florida territory was created on March 30, 1822 making this the earilest known territorial postmark from St. Augustine.
