Barracks, Prisoners Letter, Examined" oval handstamp, with original enclosure datelined "Rock Island Prison, Barrack #9, oct 20th, 1864" with interest content… Genl. Joe Hooker inspected the prison today, a fine looking man.; light cover tone spot at left, Very Fine; with 1979 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 73+U19 Estimate $1,500 - 2,000.
