NGL Line Steamship "Rhein". Envelope also posted March 27th 1875 addressed to Luzern, Switzerland. Prepaid the Closed Mail via England rate of 10 cents with 1873, 2¢ brown, two singles + 3¢ green, pair. Stamps cancelled by the Weiss type GE-EN2/G1 obliterator. At the New York Foreign Mail office the "NEW YORK PAID ALL VIA ENG. & OSTD. / MAR / 27" was applied. The closed bag was routed to Basel arriving April 8th for sorting and delivered at Luzern on the same day; cover with sealed cover tear at bottom right and light tone spots, F.-V.F.; with 2003 P.F. certificate. Estimate $400 - 600.
