NGL Line Steamship "Hansa" Mails to France, New York June 23rd - Southampton July 3rd 1866. Envelope with letter sheet dated "New York June 23 1866" addressed to Havre and redirected to Paris. Prepaid the rate for 1/3 to 1/2 ounce of 30 cents using a 1861, 30¢ orange tied by red circle of wedges cancel. Struck with the New York "SUPPLEMENTARY MAIL" stamp (type A) for mails put onto the quay 10 minutes prior to sailing. Atlantic Transit of 10 days, Very Fine. Scott No. 71 Estimate $300 - 400.
