Collins Line Steamship "Atlantic", Hong Kong - Marseilles - Liverpool - New York. Envelope with content dated "Hong Kong May 25. 1856" but back stamped Hong Kong departure of March 14th 1856. A 43 cent charge was applied at New York with 22 cents to Britain for the Hong Kong to Marseilles P & O transit and French overland. Atlantic transit of 11 days, Very Fine. Estimate $500 - 750.
The "Atlantic" departed Liverpool on April 30th arriving in New York on May 13th 1856.
