Inman Line "City of Paris", Maiden Voyage, Liverpool 21st March - Queenstown - New York 2nd April. Entire dated "London 21st March 1866" and put onto the City of Paris at Queenstown. At New York the double rate of 48 Cents "Currency" for over ½ Ounce was applied. The charge was also expressed as "59 NOTES" in Depreciated Currency. A 6 Cents credit was due to the British Post Office. Atlantic transit of 10 days, Very Fine. Estimate $200 - 300.
