Entire dated "Nouvelle Orleans le 14 Mars 1857" and endorsed "America" addressed to Bordeaux and prepaid the 5 cent rate to port of departure for carriage by British Packet (effective February 1853) using a clear to mostly large margin 1851, 5¢ red brown, reverse bears "BOSTON BR PKT / 25 / MAR" departure stamp, a London transit of April 7th and Bordeaux arrival of April 9th 1857.
