Well struck cachet on reverse of folded letter to General Cadwallader in Philadelphia, entered the mails at New York, rated 27 cents as ship letter (2 cent ship fee plus 10 cents inland postage). The Gibbs, Bright / Great Western cachet is very scarce; few cover edge nicks, Very Fine. Estimate $200 - 300.
