Entire dated "June 8th 1812" carried as a ship letter by the Sally to Boston arriving there to receive that offices "SHIP" and "BOSTON - MS / AUG / 4" datestamp. This being 18 days after war was declared. Addressed to Utica, New York and charged 2 cents ship letter plus 17 cents inland giving "19" cents., Very Fine. Estimate $150 - 200.
