Mourning cover addressed in the Queen's hand to the Duchess of Sutherland at Inverary Castle, and as was her custom, she endorsed the envelope "The Queen"; postmarked with red Crown and circle "Paid / 29 Oc 29 / 1850"; on reverse transit mark and Inverary receiver and black royal seal virtually intact; cover is a bit wrinkled with edge wear but still attractive; accompanying an exhibition page with color portraits of the Queen and the Duchess, F.-V.F.
