British Commonwealth Reference Collection. Approximately 1,700 items mostly mounted on album pages in 6 binders with additional material on stockpages and in glassine; starting with Australia 1932, 2d postal forgery used (to mail bogus Irish sweepstakes tickets), Bahamas with various Spiro Bros. sheets, early Barbados issue with a selection of genuine issues, forged bisects on piece, forged perforations and a range of forgeries including Oneglia engraved, Batum with genuine and forgery issues, Bermuda with a selection of early QV forgeries including forged & bogus surcharges on genuine, uncommon British Bechuanaland forged overprints on genuine C.G.H. issues in large multiples, including used 1d value blocks with forged cancels and inverted overprint, British Central Africa with 1895 high value forgeries, 1891 £10 forged overprint, genuine 1897 £10 cleaned with forged cancels, etc., British East Africa forged surcharge items, 1890 issue forgeries including used and a 1898 20r with revenue cancel removed and forged gum, British Guiana with genuine 1852 issues repaired and put on piece with tying cancels painted in, early Ceylon issues with faked genuine items and forgeries with various scarce works of Jeffrys including on cover, Falkland Islands with 1891 genuine cover bearing a forged inverted ½d surcharge on bisect 1d and another 1891 cover with faked bisect (Raoul de Thuin), few Gibraltar items including 1889 "10 Centesimos" removed, Gold Coast with a 1889 20sh fake made by altering the 1889 2sh value tablet, Hong Kong including a stock of 1882-1902 QV issues and some Spiro forgery sheets, India with 1889 reprints of the 1854 ½a-1a issues and forgeries, the 1872 B.K. Haldar postal forgery of the 1868 8a rose, 4 examples of the 1911-22 ½a green, bogus double impression showing various shifts (a variety which still is listed in the Scott catalog!), the 1937-40 1r postal forgery used, Ionian Islands with several forged covers and the various forgeries, Labuan 1892 & 1894 forgeries in blocks, Lagos QV issues with a selection of Oneglia lithos and 1904-05 10sh KEVII forgeries on genuine CA paper, Leeward Islands 1897 Jubilee issue including a genuine set and a few forgeries, Mauritius with early genuine, altered items and various facsimile sheets, fake covers and later forged surcharged issues, Natal including genuine 3d used (RPS cert.) and 1857-58 reprints and some interesting later forgeries, KEVII high values with pen cancels removed and forged cancellations, Nevis with a set of black proofs sheets of 12 of the first four issues, Queensland including a 1881, 20sh rose genuinely postally used but had been cleaned of a fiscal cancel prior to use (ex-Burrus), St. Lucia with genuine QV issues and a few dubious covers, Tobago with QV issues genuine and litho Oneglia creations, and many other countries; a wonderful forgery collection and an excellent basis for further expansion.
