Mexico 1884-1885 Medallion Issue Exhibition Collection. Including Official issues, very complete collection of stamps and covers on 70 exhibit pages. All denominations represented including 5p and 10p blue high values (used), many large blocks, a lot of unused stamps, every denomination with a section of selected difficult and beautiful cancels. Several combination frankings with the 1874 and 1878 issues, registered mail, imperforate stamps (including one pair on cover), specimens, proofs, nice section on the elusive early district overprints (Chiapas, Etzatlan, Saltillo, Tehuantepec, Maravatio, Soyaniquilpam), rare on cover bisects, double printings, cancelled block of 40 of the 2p (remainder cancel, but nevertheless rare and magnificent), many covers with very scarce cancels and with values up the 1p, the first 2 pages (complete issues mostly mint) have a Scott value of $1,350; condition above the norm throughout, well worth careful examination (no photo). Estimate $4,000 - 6,000.
