Registered commercial mail, on first flight, leaving Dessau 14 August 1927, with extraordinary franking consisting of 6 (2 strips of 3) 3m Eagle airmails (catalog value as singles off cover $400), with additional franking totaling 25 marks, cover flown by Junkers-Flugzeug 'Bremen' and also faintly signed by the pilot on reverse; undelivered in N.Y. and returned 6 weeks later; somewhat battered condition but nonetheless an impressive item, Fine. Scott No. C34, etc. Estimate $300 - 400.
