U.S. Postal History: State Postal History - Arizona to Massachusetts

Lot 952

Ruby City, Idaho (Terr). Fascinating cover addressed to Capt F.B. Sprague at Fort Boise, I.T.; Sprague was the famous Indian fighter who commanded at Fort Klamath, Oregon; cover seemingly originating at "Camp at Warriors Lake" etc., receiving handstamp at Ruby City, then forwarded from Boise City to Fort Vancouver, W.T., thence to Fort Klamath "via Jacksonville" where it received transit cds; slightly reduced at right but surprisingly intact considering the routing, F.-V.F., exceedingly well traveled.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Realized: $450
