Clear to large margins and rich deep color, neatly tied by blue grid cancel on fresh 1847 folded letter to Hagerstown, Md., matching "Baltimore, Md., Aug 21" cds, Extremely Fine, a wonderful example of the 1847, 5¢ Chestnut Brown on cover, ex Stauss, Hart, with 1991 P.F. certificate, 2008 W. Saadi certificate attesting to the Chestnut Brown color and 2008 P.F. certificate stating this as the deep red brown color (Scott No. 1).
