Herbert Hoover (1874-1964, 31th President 1929-33). Bold signature "Herbert Hoover" as President on two separate official White House cards, Extremely Fine.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Hoover gained international attention during WWI with his distribution of food and supplies to Europe, and was later appointed Secretary of Commerce. As President, he saw the Stock Market Crash and the Great Depression. Preaching an unsuccessful philosophy of "rugged individualism", he was soundly defeated by Roosevelt in 1932. He retired from public life until he was named chairman of a commission created to re-organize the executive branch.
