Diamond Springs, Cal., September 22, 1852 (El Dorado), dateline on folded letter with "Placerville, Cal., September 24, 1852" cds (Williams ELD-2930) & "Paid 6" in circle, to Lawrenceburg, IN, with sad letter; "Our trip across the plains would have been pleasant and full of interest to me had I not met with the loss of my much loved brother", he died of cholera as so many thousands of others had, full details of the death and disease, Very Fine, ex Kutz.
