Spanish Bar Col Ter Aug 16, manuscript postmark on 1861 rebacked cover front with patriotic label (small tear) franked with still valid 1857 3¢ dull red and addressed to Kansas; some soiling or staining., F.-V.F. and rare.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

The first gold that was panned in the Idaho area was at Spanish Bar. The town was named for the many Mexican prospectors who work the various streams and creeks.
