Rosita Colorado Apr 18 1876, magenta boxed five line handstamp on cover to Mission Creek, Kansas franked with 3¢ Bank Note tied by unusual segmented bar cancel, reduced at right & some overall soiling, still F.-V.F., Rosita is the only Colorado town known to have used this type of postmark during the territorial period, and pre-statehood examples are very scarce, illustrated in Jarrett's Colorado book.
