Hughes Col Dec 12/74, manuscript postmark on blue tissue paper cover to Iowa with attractive gold monogram, franked with 3¢ Bank Note with manuscript cancel, Very Fine and attractive, This office operated for only a few years in the 1870s. Indeed, Hughes barely qualified as a town. It was the junction of the Denver-Pacific and Denver, Marshall & Boulder railroads, but never had commercial import, illustrated in Jarrett's Colorado book.
