India, 1859, Calcutta to New York, N.Y. Folded cover franked with 1855-64 ½a + 1a + 2a + 8a tied by Calcutta cancels & black "N. York Br. Pkt 5 Jun 22" (5¢ due) cds with red Calcutta double circle backstamp postmark, markings include red boxed "India Paid", oval "Forwarded By Atkinson Tilton & Co. Calcutta" handstamp, red manuscript "1/4d" credit to G.B., horizontal bend through stamps & a couple minor perf flaws, Very Fine. Scott No. 11+12+15+18 Estimate $100 - 150.
