Straight line postmark on 1831 folded letter to to Trowbridge, England, matching "Paid" handstamp & manuscript "25" rate representing the over 400 miles postal zone to New York for a single sheet of paper, faint "Liverpool Ship Letter" on the reverse; some corner wear at top, F.-V.F., a rare usage of a straight line postmark on a transatlantic cover.
