Small double circle postmark (Williams STA-710) on forwarded 1868 cover from Marshall, Mich. franked with 1861 3¢ rose, forwarded with two strikes of small "Nov. 7, 1868" double circle postmark to Empire City with manuscript endorsement "Via Paradise City", slightly reduced at right, F.-V.F., the earliest known example of this scarce postmark. Estimate $150 - 200.
