Black ribbon frank on 1874-86 3¢ Plimpton entire to San Francisco, Cal., cancelled by Oakland, Cal. cds, Extremely Fine, though Whitney had a handstamp this was the normal practice for the express, pick up somewhere in Alameda or Contra Costa counties and dropped in the Oakland PO for delivery to San Francisco, they purchased the Bamber Express business in 1875.
