A.E.F. World War I Cover Collection - A.P.O.'s 701-799. Comprehensive collection of over 350 covers mounted in 3 Scott albums, arranged by A.P.O. numbers showing various postmark types for each; includes U.S. Military Postal Express Service usages, registered mail, official War Dept. covers, various scarce provisional postmarks including APO 709 straight line postmark in red (A76) as well as the first two A1 postmark types to be found (in 1977), other provisional include APO 747, 752 (two different types), 761, 767 and many others, APO 710 including 2nd division sticker with Indian insignia tied by postmark, scarcer APO 712 covers, APO 717 cover sent to APO 909 from women in the Army Nurses Corps, APO 729 cover without censor marking, APO 741 cover with type A1112 postmark (unreported as of 1989), APO 745 cover (with the scarce A-58 type postmark) sent from commanding general of the 10th Inf Bgde on the last day that censoring of the mails was required June 30, 1919, etc.; condition mixed as to be expected for the material with clear readable postmarks the rule, well worth inspection for the specialist (no photo).
