York A, pkt., 30, Dec 31" cds at left, forwarded to San Francisco with 1861, 3¢ rose tied by Wells, Fargo & Co. "Paid" in oval handstamp, Stockton, Cal. postmark at center, cover soiling and faults with a side backflap missing, otherwise Fine, still a rare out-of-the-mails express forwarding usage.
