Santa Barbara, Cal. Town Collection, 1850-1920's. Well formed collection of approximately 180 covers and cards in large quarter leather album, almost every postmark represented for the period including RPO's and RFD's, picture postcards, interesting enclosures, etc., with large rimless postmark (SBA-1370) on cover to Forbestown with #25 franking, early 1850's incoming from Boston, late 1850's usages including overland, 1860 usages including "Advertised" and 1870's with "Held for Postage" auxiliary handstamp, registered, advertising corner cards with Morris House including printed enclosure, express covers including many nice Wells, Fargo & Co usages, Pacific Union incoming, Columbian mixed frankings on registered covers, Spanish American war including patriotic, unlisted 1906 General Delivery postmark, etc., condition above average with clear well struck postmarks the rule.
