Cancelled by straight line Registered handstamp on 1872 registered cover to England paying 14¢ rate (6¢ postage + 8¢ registry), postmarked "Whitby" cds with four additional strikes of "Registered" straight line handstamp, flap tear just extending onto front at bottom, Very Fine, a very unusual item.
