Straight line postmark aligned at left & right (Williams TUO-1350) on folded cover to San Francisco with manuscript "5" rate, cover forwarded 4 months later to Baltimore with additional "10" cent rate & "San Francisco/Sep 1" cds, contents include "Your rifle forwarded by Reynolds, Todd & Co. Express should be in San Francisco", marking inverted with some doubling, Fine and scarce, the only example of this marking in the Newton collection. Estimate $100 - 150.
