China - U.S. Offices, 1898 Tengchowfoo negative cancel. On unfortunate cover as the stamps (probably China and Japan issues!) were removed, we run this cover despite its condition (although 9 cancellations are present showing routing, etc.) because of the extreme rarity of the Tengchowfoo negative cancel, listed and pictured in Changs book on cancellations - where his photographed example is also missing some stamps, V.G. Estimate $100 - 200.
