1923, 1¢ green, rotary, unprecancelled, earliest known usage. Tied by "Wilmington, Calif., May 18, 1923" machine postmark on a H.F. Alexander steamship trifold mailing card, with on-board correspondence and multicolored illustrated breakfast menu inside, Very Fine, a wonderful EKU; with 2002 A.P.S. certificate.

This is the only known usage of an unprecancelled 1923, 1¢ rotary perf. 10 prior to its release by the Philatelic Stamp Agency in October 17, 1923.
