Confederacy, Johnson's Island, Sandusky, Ohio, "A prisoner of war" manuscript notation across top of cover with "June 6-1862, R.C. Dansbee" (Brevet 2nd Lt. 10th Tenn. Inf.) at left, cover addressed to Camp Chase, Ohio and franked with 1861, 3¢ rose (65) tied by grid with "Sandusky, O. Jul 8" double circle postmark alongside, light pencil "Exd G.A.R." (Pvt. Gerald A Ressap, 128th 0. V.I.) censor's marking next to postmark, some light toning, otherwise Very Fine, a rare prison to prison usage.
