Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ milky blue, "T-E-N", clear to large margins and bright color, tied by indistinct cds on white & grayish blue floral wallpaper cover addressed to Lieut. John B. Tasscott (Engineering Department) in Goldsboro, N.C., with "By Lynchburg & Danville" routing endorsement at lower left, Very Fine, a choice and rare 1863 "T-E-N" issue on a wallpaper cover.

John B. Tasscott was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in March 1862 and assigned to the Corps of Engineers and was assigned the Defenses of Eastern North Carolina from June to November 1864. The Lynchburg & Danville endorsement suggests the cover originated in the Richmond area.
