Confederacy, Georgetown, S.C. Oct. 1 1862, cds on missent soldier's cover addressed to Georgetown, Ga. with Privat. W.J. Nobles soldier's endorsement and manuscript "Due 10", missent to South Carolina & postmarked Georgetown, S.C. with matching Missent straight line, the cover is homemade with printed address on the inside, cover edge tears and flaws, Fine and interesting item.
Estimate    $100 - 200.

W.J. Nobles mustered in as private into Co. B, Georgia 51st Infantry. At the time of posting he was with Lee in the Shenandoah Valley right after the Battle of Antietam. He died in Richmond on 11/12/62.
