Galena, Dubuque, Dunleith & Minnesota Packet Company, Steamer Key City (Upper Mississippi River), blue illustrated boxed corner card on cover to North Cambridge, Mass franked with 1851 3¢ Dull Red (11) tied by bold "Dubuque, Iowa Apr 19, 1857" balloon cds, minor edge wear and small sealed tear upper right, Very Fine and attractive, ex-Risvold and Kramer, Illustrated in Milgram.

A STUNNING COVER WHICH IS THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THIS FANCY ILLUSTRATED DESIGN.

The Key City was a side-wheeler of 359 tons built at Cincinnati in 1857 for the Minnesota Packet Co. She was abandoned in 1870.
