Mar 25 1858" cds with bold "3" handstamp alongside, reverse with circle "Forwarded By V.W. Graham & Co., Freight Agents, Illinois Central R.R. and Wharf Boat Prots, Cairo Ill." handstamp (flap tear affecting marking), Extremely Fine, ex-Somdal, Illustrated in Milgram.

AN OUTSTANDING GEM IS THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THIS PACKET MARKING.

This lovely cover brought $1050 in the 1977 Sotheby's sale of the Somdal collection.
