A WONDERFUL AND QUITE POSSIBLY UNIQUE USAGE OF THIS EXTRAORDINARILY RARE VALENTINE DESIGN BY CHARLES MAGNUS.

Charles Magnus was one of the most prolific American printers of ephemera during the late nineteenth century, producing around 700 patriotic envelopes and over 300 illustrated song sheets. In a very limited capacity, he ventured into illustrated printed Valentine poem sheets. Even more limited this Valentine cover as we know of other examples he produced.
