1861 Hidalgo Provisional Usages

Mexico, Puebla 4r Black on Yellow, in combination with 1861, ½r black on buff, horizontal strip of 4, Puebla used provisionally on 1867 folded letter to Veracruz, tied by bold Puebla straight line date stamps (Schatzkes 1153), Very Fine, the 1861 stamps were demonetized in 1864 with the Eagle issue, however a few districts used left overs in 1867 and 1868. NF listed but not priced as it is very rare. Only two 4r stamps from Puebla known in the provisional period.; signed J.K. Bash, with 2024 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.
