AN EXTREMELY RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE PANAMINT PONY EXPRESS FRANK ENTIRE - WITH ONLY ONE USED EXAMPLE KNOWN.

It is believed that fewer than five unused examples of this frank are known. This express was the last pony service used in the old west. It was used to transport mail over a distance of 200 miles using six relays of horses between the ghost town of Darwin, Inyo County, thence over the Cajon Pass and on to San Bernardino, California.
