Aden, India, 1861, Queen Victoria, ½a blue (2) & 1a brown (3), on cover to London paying the 4a rate, each stamp canceled "124" at Steamer Point, red boxed "INDIA PAID" on face and "Aden-Str-Point 30 AU 61" on reverse, the cover apparently stuck to another envelope in transit and bears the notation "found on the back of a letter addressed to Chatham", backstamped Chatham and London SP 2061 on reverse, with contents headed "Madras August 7th 61" to correspondent's mother stating they sail the following day for Liverpool, a few edge faults, Fine, a delightful cover, ex-Hart.Estimate $500 - 750.
