1867, 15¢ black, F. grill, deep color, tied by blue geometric fancy cancel (Barwis PFM 69-1) on 1869 cover to Paris, France, purple "Philadelphia, Paid 12, Apr 30" exchange cds and red boxed "PD" handstamp additionally tying stamp, reverse with transit and receiving date stamps, Very Fine and attractive, this being one of two known examples of this Philadelphia geometric foreign mail cancel; with 2022 P.F. certificate.

Beginning in 1868 the Philadelphia Exchange Office began using purple, red and orange inks for their date stamps. Although these colors certainly made covers more attractive, they have no postal significance.
