Greenland, 1931-32, 10ö carmine, Rockwell Kent private airmail issue, second printing, without gum as issued, signed "Rockwell Kent" in pencil below design, Very Fine, a rare signed example. Estimate $400 - 600.
This private airmail issue was made by Kent upon his return from a film-making expedition to Greenland. While in Greenland, he made a very small quantity that were used on letters flown from the expeditions base camp to a working camp. It is said that Kent only made a few hundred (believed to be between 200-400) of the Second Printing and only signed a fraction of them.
