1798, First Federal Issue, New York, twelve documents all with strong stamp impressions; includes 4¢ & 20¢ promissory notes, 10¢ bill of exchange, 25¢ notarization stating brig Eglantine did not stop within the dependencies of France (U.S. was engaged in an unofficial naval war with France), 30¢ promissory note, 50¢ bill of exchange and a couple estate inventories, 75¢ foreign bill of exchange printed form (ex-Joyce) and promissory note, and two insurance forms with $1 usage; file fold affecting a couple lesser items, generally F.-V.F. or better.
