Mexico, 1892, 10c vermilion, advertising sheet and envelope, entire uprated with 1890 25c vermilion Numeral and reverse with 2¢ carmine + 4¢ vermilion pair (221+213+215), registered usage Campeche to Mexico, small edge flaws, F.-V.F., one of two known registered examples of this advertising sheet. Estimate $750 - 1,000.
These were printed as a special order containing a printed flyer with many advertisements and an embossed image of the 10c. The envelope has a cut die cut oval window revealing the indicia. The user would only pay 5c and the remaining 5c would be subsidized by the advertisers.
