Cuba, (Spanish) Collection, 1798-1898, extensive collection of mint, used and covers, early issues are in mounts on Schaubek blank pages and later issues are hinged on Spanish album pages, with detailed notes in Spanish throughout, there is an extensive coverage of the first issue, including cancel and shade varieties, strips and blocks, issues from about 1875 are fairly complete, plus Officials, there are a few stamps of Spain used in Cuba, also some Revolutionary Government issues, in addition to the stamps, there are 20 covers with stamps plus 18 stampless folded letters, generally fine to very fine; stamps alone catalog over $6000 and considerable value in the covers, rarely seen area, occasional minor toning or other small fault, generally F.-V.F. Estimate $2,500 - 3,500.
